The russian stitch in this pattern is a fun way to spice up your knitting by creating a dense pattern with lots of texture. This is not a complicated, and very beautiful knitting stitch.

Knitting instructions:
With color A cast on a multiple of 5 stitches + 1.Row 1 (right side). With color B: *knit 4, slip 1 with yarn in back (wyib); rep from * to last stich, knit 1.
Row 2: With color B, purl 1, *slip 1 with yarn in font (wyif), purl 4; rep from * to end.
Row 3: With color A, knit 5, *slip 1 wyib, knit 4; rep from * to last stitch, k1.
Row 4: With color A, knit 5, slip 1 wyif, knit 4; rep from * last stitch, k1.
Row 5: With color B, knit 1, *slip 1 wyib, knit 4; rep from * to end.
Row 6: With color B, *purl 4, slip 1 wyif; rep from * to last stitch, purl 1.
Row 7: With color A: k5, *sl 1 wyib, k4; rep from * to last stitch, knit 1.
Row 8: Color A: k5, sl 1 wyif, k4; rep from * to last stitch, knit 1.
Repeat rows 1-8 till necessary for completing your project.
