The Framed Openwork Diamonds is knitted in a multiple of 12 stitches plus 1 done over 12 rows. This lace pattern  is perfect for shawls and scarves! To make this pattern, please follow the instructions

Row 1 and all wrong side rows: Purl
Row 2: (RS) K1, * k1, (k2tog, yo) twice, k1, (yo, skpo) twice, k2; repeat from * to end.
Row 4: K1, *(k2tog, yo) twice, k3, (yo, skpo) twice, k1; repeat from * to end.
Row 6: K2tog, * yo, k2tog, yo, k5, yo, skpo, yo, sl 2 tog -k1-p2sso; repeat from * to 11 sts, yo, k2tog, yo, k5, yo, skpo, yo, skpo
Row 8: K1, * (yo, skpo) twice, k3, (k2tog, yo) twice, k1; repeat from * to end.
Row 10: K1, * k1, (yo, skpo) twice, k1, (k2tog, yo) twice, k2; repeat from * to end.
Row 12: K1, * k2, yo, skpo, yo, sl 2 tog -k1-p2sso, yo, k2tog, yo, k3; repeat from * to end.
Repeat rows 1-12 until you have reached your desired length.
