Lace Knitting Stitch 9: Flower Bud

The Flower Bud Lace stitch is a lace stitch pattern which resembles flower buds situated one above the other running vertically across the work.

The Flower Bud stitch is a lace stitch pattern which resembles flower buds situated one above the other running vertically across the work. This stitch is not a complicated stitch with basic increase and decrease techniques.

Knitting instructions:
- Cast on a multiple of 10 sts + 1.
Row 1 (RS): K1, *yo, k3, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k3, yo, k1; rep from * to the end.
Row 2: Purl.
Repeat Rows 1-2 three more times.
Row 9: K2tog, *k3, yo, k1, yo, k3, sl 1- k2tog - psso; rep from * to last 9 sts, k3, yo, k1, yo, k3, skpo
Row 10: purl.
Repeat Rows 9-10 three more times.
Repeat rows 1-16 until you have reached your desired length.

Knitting abbreviations:
Knit stitch: K
Yarn over: YO
Knit 2 stitches together: K2TOG
Slip 1 as if to knit, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over: Skpo
Slip 1 as if to knit, knit 2 stitches together, pass slipped stitch over: Sl 1 - k2tog - psso.
