Lace Knitting Pattern 13

The pattern is a multiple of 8 stitches plus 2 done over 16 rows. The lace stitch is perfect for lightweight knits such as spring scarves.

Knitting instructions:
Cast on a multiple of 8 sts + 2. Repeat the pattern between the arrows as many times as you like. 
Row 1: K1, p3 * k2, p6; repeat * to last 6sts k2, p3, k1
Row 2: K4, p2 * k6, p2; repeat * to last 4sts * k4
Row 3: Repeat row 1
Row 4: Repeat row 2
Row 5: K1, p2 * k2 tog, yo, ssk, p4; repeat * to last 7sts, k2 tog, yo, ssk,p3
Row 6: K3, * p1, k into front and back of next stitch, p1, k4; repeat * to last 6sts ;p1, k into front and back of next stitch, p1, k3.
Row 7: K1, p1* k2 tog, yo, k2, yo, ssk, p2; repeat * to end.
Row 8: K2* p6, k2; repeat * to end.
Row 9: K1* (k2 tog, yo) twice, ssk, yo, ssk; repeat * to last st, k1
Row 10: K1, p3, * k1fb, p6; repeat * to last 5sts, k1fb, p4
Row 11: K1* (yo, ssk) twice, k2 tog, yo, k2 tog; repeat * to last st , yo, k1
Row 12: K1, k1-b, p6* k1fb, p6; repeat * to last 2sts. k1-b, k1
Row 13: K1, p1* yo, sl 1-k2 tog-psso, yo, k3 tog, yo, p2; repeat * to end.
Row 14: K2* k1-b, p1, k1fb, p1, k1-b, k2; repeat * to end.
Row 15: K1, p2 * yo, ssk, k2 tog, yo, p4; repeat * to last 7sts, yo, ssk, k2 tog, yo, p2, k1
Row 16: K3 ,* k1-b, p2, k1-b, k4; repeat * to last 7sts, k1-b, p2, k1-b, k3
Repeat rows 1-16 until you have reached your desired length.

Knitting abbreviations:
Knit stitch: K
Knit through the back loop: K-B
Knit into the front and back: KFB
Purl stitch: P
Yarn over: YO
Knit 2 stitches together: K2TOG
Slip, slip, knit: SSK
Slip 1 as if to knit, knit 2 stitches together, pass slipped stitch over: Sl 1 - k2tog - psso.
